Burleigh Heads Girl Guides targeted
After hearing about the two sickening break ins and acts of vandalism at the Burleigh Heads Girl Guides hall, Davcon Security Screens are pleased to be donating $20 000 worth of Crimsafe security screens to the Girl Guides to help ensure they aren’t broken into again.
Davcon Security Screens are pleased to be donating Crimsafe security screens to the Burleigh Heads Girl Guides after their hall was broken into and vandalized twice.
Not once, but twice
On Sunday the 16th October the Girl Guides hall was broken into and vandalised; damage was caused by fire extinguishers being set off and faeces spread over the floor.
Four days later, just after Guide leaders had cleaned up the mess, the hall was targeted again. Vandals entered the premises by smashing a window, and destroyed a stereo, poured milk and juice on the carpet, stuck wet toilet paper to the ceiling and pulled Girl Guide plaques off the wall.
A mother of a Girl Guide member wrote ‘My daughter missed Guides last night to be at a family birthday dinner. After school I showed her the paper, she is inconsolable. Her leader’s plaques are very special, that place is a shrine to our children of decency, respect and love.’
