Samford Valley Patio Enclosure

This Patio enclosure was completed at a property in Samford Valley, where the Davcon team have previously fitted the whole house with Crimsafe products a few years back.

The Crimsafe Installation

Over 85 hours of manufacturing time was required for the factory to complete the assembly and preparation of Security Screens ordered.

Three installers were required onsite to fit the box, tracks, 3 sets of bifold doors, sliding doors and fixed panels over two days. On the third and final day of installation, our head installer spent the day completing the works by installing, trim angle and the finishing pieces.

• All screens were installed in the colour ‘Black’ in the Crimsafe Ultimate range
• One set of 4-panel sliding doors
• Three sets of 5-panel bi fold doors
• One set of 5-panel sliding door and one fixed panel

The Result

Our customer wanted to keep the beautiful view from their patio while adding much needed security. After a consultation and onsite visit with our team, they decided to proceed with the plan to install three sets of bi-fold doors along with a number of fixed panels as suggested by our sales and installation team – which has achieved their vision of function and security.

Overall, a very happy customer and a great looking patio enclosure.

The lock of the security door did not work, so I rang Davcon. A few days later, a man came, had a look and he said he would talk to the manufacturer. A few days later another man came and replaced the whole lock free of charge. I didn't have any trouble at all.

I bought 5 crimsafe security doors during July this year 2024 (the tax time), so I got lots of discounts too.
I am happy with their price and their service.

Not to mention before I bought the 5 doors, I did shop around, and Davcon was the cheapest.

For prices and service, I will stick with Davcon, this is the 2nd house that I put crimsafe doors in. I did put crimsafe in the 1st house in 2019, and I was happy with it. This time with the 2nd house, Davcon makes me happy again.

I don't think I will have a 3rd house, otherwise I will use Davcon again😁😁😁.

I had my whole townhouse 'Crimsafed' by Davcon. Things went very smoothly. The initial appointment for the quote was within days, the measuring appointment was a few weeks later. Then there was about a 8 week wait for the product to arrive, but communication was great, and I'm very happy with my new security doors, windows and doggy door (my dog loves the doggy door too). Everyone was really friendly and professional. The only thing I didn't anticipate was that the doggy door was quite high off the ground for my medium dog, especially since there is a bit of a drop on the outside, so I had to make a custom step for him (until I get a proper deck installed outside).

We highly recommend Davcon. We have a renovated 100 year old house and were were not sure about the crimsafe look. The Davcon team explained all the options clearly and they were not pushy. The price was competitive in comparison with other companies in Brisbane. This is the most important comment. The installation team were amazing!!!! They paid attention to fine detail, went out and beyond my expectations to install mesh to custom windows and doors. They even made up a trim on a big stacking door which allowed the screen to blend in with the house. They navigated shutters and electric blinds and I would highly recommend them to anyone. Crimsafe is expensive but after a spike of crime in our area, we do feel more safe. In the attached photos, every panel of glass is covered. We have a mix of different types of crimsafe. From the inside looking out - you can't see it. When it is installed on the outside it looks dark on the outside but you can't see it from the inside looking out. We have also benefited from cross breezes throughout the house. Other than the price, the only negative of the Crimsafe is that it can slightly darken a room depending on the available lighting. I hope this helps you decide. The Davcon team are hard to beat. They get the installation right. They are respectful and keep you informed from start to finish. We wouldn't use anyone but Davcon.

We sought out three quotes from different companies and products for our security screens. Davcon was not the least expensive, but we feel we got more than our money's worth in both product and service. (Beware other companies quoting "CrimSafe First" as 'real' CrimSafe!)

From initial consultation through to final clean-up, Davcon was approachable, honest and friendly. They were very responsive to questions and feedback. They gave a realistic timeline for manufacture, but then had it completed and installed more than a week early. Would recommend to anyone!

I requested a quote online and was advised that Wayne will be visiting for a quote. He was fabulous, gave me various options on what I could do. He advised what colours are available (which is pretty much any colour), showed various product frames and explained the entire process. He also explained the security locks they use. Davcon Security Screens kept you informed of the entire process, the admin staff were wonderful. I dealt mostly with Samantha, she was very helpful with any questions I had. I then had Daniel who installed the products. I was amazed how great the stacker doors looked. I was worried that the Crimsafe mesh was going to leave the house looking dark however this was not the case at all. You can see out no problem, it lets plenty of light in your home. It turned out way better than I imagined it would. I went with the ultimate design. I would highly recommend this company to my friends. Very happy with the complete service they offered. The products they use are very high quality.

I've had two sliding door screens installed on my patio, and I couldn't have been happier with the results.

My existing windows/doors have a special frame, with each joint slightly sticking out of the main frame, making it difficult to install a secondary sliding frame on top. The team were really accommodative and after some further inspection, suggested a box-frame which would work around the existing frame, offering space for sliding doors.

The measurement was done meticulously, and we did a colour match to my existing frames. Despite my concern of a bulky exterior look, the screens look seamless and as if they were built as part of the initial build. I highly recommend the team at Davcon!

James responded quickly with my queries and I felt he made things so much easier for me to decide to go with Davcon for the job.

Chris the technician who came for measure up was also experienced and efficient.

While there was a minor hiccup with the external spray paint job causing delays, and the admin girls needing chasing up at times, Matt the installer went above and beyond with his installation, and he took pride with the finished product.
